Hotel Investment Conference Europe (Hot.E) is pleased to announce that Andrew Sangster, the founder of ZeroTwoZero Communications Ltd, has joined Hot.E as its new Conference Co-Chair. In his role as Co-Chair, Mr. Sangster will work in tandem with Jim Burba, Burba Hotel Network (BHN), and the planning committee to shape the content and direction of Hot.E.
Mr. Sangster launched Hotel Analyst more than 15 years ago and it has grown into a publishing business that now encompasses a paid subscription service for hotel investors and a reports division. In addition, Hotel Analyst produces three uniquely niched London-based conferences: The Hotel Distribution Event; The Hotel Alternatives Event; and the Hotel Operations Conference. Andrew has been a journalist for his entire career, starting out on trade press titles before joining the national press and a brief spell at the BBC. He launched his own business focused on providing high level information on a subscription basis after despairing at the quality of what the old business model of selling advertising space was producing. Andrew holds a BSc in economics and a MA in journalism. He lives in Cambridge with his wife and three children.
“We’ve known Andrew for a long time, and have great respect for his journalistic integrity and his in-depth understanding of the hotel investment marketplace,” said Jim Burba, co-founder of BHN. “We are absolutely delighted to have Andrew join the Hot.E team and look forward to working with him to take the conference to new heights,” added Burba.
Sangster said, “I have attended every HotE since it was started and watched it grow into Europe’s most effective hotel investment conference. I am honoured to be part the most focused investment conference on the calendar, one that has always delivered the best and highest level networking.”
“Hot.E has proven to be a valuable hotel investment conference. The conference brings together important leaders involved the investment community to discuss issues that are timely and relevant.”
“As a panel leader, my first experience at Hot.E was fascinating. I was able to hear the views from people in the know and exchange thoughts with other industry leaders.”
“Hot.E provides a topical insight on the critical issues facing the European hotel investment industry, with meaningful participation from the industry leaders and decision-makers.”
